Spravato (esketamine)
FDA Approved Treatment for Depression
Spravato (esketamine) is a ketamine derivative nasal spray that's FDA approved and administered in office.
When covered by insurance, the co-pay is comparable to that of a typical outpatient mental health visit, sometimes as low as $10 per treatment.
Flexible Financial Support with "Spravato withMe" rebate program, which may drastically reduce your Spravato treatment costs. Many patients pay as little as $10 for each Spravato appointment.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
FDA Approved Treatment for Depression & OCD
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy is an FDA-approved treatment shown to provide relief for those who haven't had success with other treatments. TMS is a non-invasive in-office treatment that uses focused magnetic pulses to reawaken the connections in the brain.
When covered by insurance, the co-pay for a treatment visit is comparable to that of a typical outpatient mental health visit, sometimes as low as $10 per treatment. Out-of-pocket cost depends on each person's specific insurance plan, deductible, etc.
Ketamine Therapy
Administered in office and medically monitored
Unlike traditional antidepressants which can take weeks to take effect, Ketamine Therapy can rapidly reduce depressive symptoms within two hours of administration, and this relief can be sustained for up to two weeks, following just a single dose. Our ketamine treatments are flexible, designed to meet your individual needs and support you on your healing journey.
Our best outcomes come from paired ketamine therapy with virtual integration therapy. Integration Sessions are built to optimize healing and growth by making meaning of treatment sessions and creating individualized action plans that turn insights into transformation.
Medication Management
Evidence-Based Psychopharmacology
Treating adults & children experiencing mental health challenges like perinatal mood disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, and more.
Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
What is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy?
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected. To help individuals change their behavior, CBT employs techniques such as self-monitoring, activity scheduling for depression, and exposure and response prevention for anxiety. The ultimate goal of CBT is to provide individuals with the tools they need to lead a happier and more fulfilling life
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
What is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a structured form of therapy designed to help people recover from traumatic experiences. This type of therapy is based on the idea that the mind can heal from psychological trauma in much the same way that the body can recover from physical trauma.
Studies have shown that EMDR therapy can be a highly effective tool for treating trauma. Unlike other treatments which focus on emotions, EMDR therapy is focused on the memory, and is intended to change the way that the memory is stored in the brain, thus reducing and eliminating the problematic symptoms.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
What is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of therapy that involves learning skills to reduce the impact of difficult thoughts and feelings, by identifying what brings meaning to life, and taking steps to align with those values.
In ACT, the emphasis is on accepting thoughts and feelings in the present moment, rather than trying to change them. The therapy views psychological distress as resulting from avoidance or evaluation of thoughts and feelings. This can lead to negative thinking patterns that interfere with one's ability to live according to their values.
ACT aims to help individuals accept what they can't control and focus on taking control of what they can to improve their quality of life.
Somatic Therapy
What is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic Therapy, also known as Somatic Experiencing, is different from other therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in that it incorporates body-oriented modalities such as dance, breath work, and meditation to support mental healing, while other types of therapy are concerned primarily with the mind.
Most Somatic Therapy sessions include both talk therapy and mind-body exercises in tandem. Somatic therapy operates off the idea that what happens to you in your life is stored not only in your mind but also in your body. By focusing on both the physical sensations in your body and the discussion of your problems, it is a more comprehensive approach to therapy.
Group Therapy
What is Group Therapy?
Group Therapy harnesses the power of collective experiences to provide participants with insights, feedback, and support. This form of psychotherapy allows a group of participants to benefit from diverse perspectives, finding hope and a sense of belonging through shared challenges and emotional growth. Though some may feel intimidated by the idea of speaking with strangers, the therapists and other participants work together to create an environment where everyone feels safe and cared for.
Couples Therapy
What is Couples Therapy?
Couples therapy is focused on fostering a healthier relationship by giving couples the tools to navigate conflicts together. Our supportive therapists create a safe and non-judgmental environment for you and your partner to openly discuss your experiences and work towards overcoming any challenges you may be facing. We are dedicated to helping people rediscover the connection and love in their relationships.
Our therapists are equipped to assist with a wide range of relationship issues, from communication difficulties to rebuilding trust after an affair. We welcome all couples, including LGBTQIA2S+ couples and Ethically Non-Monogamous partnerships, seeking therapy and are committed to helping you achieve a stronger, healthier relationship.
Integration Therapy
Stella Integration therapy Sessions are built to optimize healing and growth by making meaning of treatment outcomes and create individualized action plans that turn insights into growth.

Jonathan Flake started his career as a registered nurse working in various hospital settings and departments including medical/surgical, telemetry, and intensive care units. In his work, he frequently observed the correlation that poor mental health often leads to physical deterioration and hospitalization. Seeing this phenomenon guided Jonathan to aim his career toward mental healthcare, which he believes to be the foundation of overall well-being.
He began to work in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings and earned a Master of Science degree from Wilkes University in nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Jonathan recognizes that each client has a unique life and experience, and he works alongside them to optimize treatment strategies. He seeks to tailor care plans to help each individual meet their specific needs and achieve their personal goals.

Julie earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Utah in May 2024, driven by a lifelong passion for supporting others in their health and well-being. Before becoming a registered nurse in 2009, she worked as a massage therapist and instructor for several years. Since then, she has gained extensive experience across various healthcare settings, including neurology, where she specialized as a palliative care nurse and peer debriefer; telemetry; and public health, where she co-developed a harm reduction program and a peer recovery support group. In addition to her civilian work, Julie proudly serves as a chief nurse in the Utah National Guard.
Julie is eager to work with clients ranging from ages 5 to 65 and brings a wealth of experience from both outpatient and day treatment settings. She has a special focus on youth who have experienced trauma, as well as individuals and families navigating complex mental health challenges. One of her most meaningful projects was leading a needs assessment on Anticipatory Grief Support for caregivers of medically complex children—an endeavor close to her heart, as it highlighted the critical need for emotional support in this community. Recently, her passion has expanded to psychedelic-assisted therapy, where she has witnessed its profound healing potential.
Believing that collaboration is key to addressing mental health challenges, Julie takes an integrative approach that considers the psychological, physical, and social dimensions of well-being. She explores factors such as diet, nutrition, exercise, sleep, social support, therapies, and medication management to provide comprehensive care.
Above all, Julie is deeply honored to be a part of your healing journey.

He is trained in several therapeutic modalities that include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Laughter and good humor have always been important in Mike's approach to much of life -- including therapy -- which is why he spends most of his free time with friends and family doing pretty much anything that can get a laugh which includes: open mic stand-up, video games, speaking in mostly Simpsons quotes, and running a comedy podcast with his wife (who is ALSO a therapist).

Life can be complex and unpredictable, and I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive place to make sense of it. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where patients can feel genuinely heard and understood. My goal is to walk alongside my patients to explore life's challenges and uncover new possibilities for healing and growth together.
I believe it's never too late to create the life you want. Change is not only possible, but is a vital part of being human. Growth often happens in moments that feel uncomfortable or uncertain, and therapy offers a unique space to explore those moments with curiosity and courage.
I'm certified in EMDR and trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. My approach is holistic and somatic, focused on integrating mind, body, and environment. I'm also keen on interventional, biological treatments in mental health and how these approaches complement traditional therapy.
Before joining Stella Mental Health, I worked in a behavioral health center supporting individuals and families through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. My professional background also includes experience in corrections, education, and women's wellness.
Outside of work, I find balance through biking, playing guitar, and spending time in the mountains—places that remind me to stay grounded and connected. Connection is at the heart of everything I do, and I aim to bring authenticity, openness, and even a little light-hearted fun into each session so patients can feel safe showing up exactly as they are.
Let's get curious together about what's feeling difficult, and discover what healing and growth may look like for you.
